I wanna overclcock this cpu xp1800+
how much do you think i can get? out of it

I wanna use the socket mod
but anywhere it shows you a pic of the acutal socket and where the wires go

i saw the one www.ocinside.de - OverClocked inside

But i feel confused
I have Elixir ram
its not really a brandname

please help me
if i go the bios and i do 166/166 i get an xp2100+ max
i cannot go more
the problem is that i dont really feel the xp2100+ performance
i feel like its actually running at the normal speed of xp1800+

in my bios 133/133 does xp1800+
138/138 does xp1900+
150/150 does xp2100+

it will not do the xp2000+

the xp1900+ will work
but no point to oc

the xp2100+ it post but i get the blue screen in windows

thank you

sounds liek a Pally. If ur running an ECS motherboard, there is no point in overclocking ur CPU anyway, its a waste of time. Get an Abit, Asus, MSI or some otehr quality motherboard but try to advoid Gigabyte. If it's a T Bred B it will become quite clear when u start overclocking it ;)

Also change the ram! With PC2100 you can't o/c. Get at least PC3200

But first of all you need to tell us what's your CPU. It's better to remove the heatsink and see the stepping code. this is the easiest way to check.
