Yeah, it affects temps, but the real kicker for increasing temps is the voltage. IN order to get higher mhz, you will have to increase the voltage to the processor. This in hand makes things HOT.

if i am able to increase the multiplier without increasing the voltage do i have to worry about temperatue

You will always have to watch the temps when you overclock anything. Making the processor run faster will generate more heat no matter how you do it. The voltage is the biggest heat generator but any speed increase will increase the heat your chip generates.

Wow, u didn't get a very high yield chip did you?Well this setup was originally for a 1200 that I had at 1400 but I fried the damn thing so I had to go back to my backup chip. This 800 just will not go any higher than 950 and even then it's not 100% stable. Next paycheck, I'm gettin a 1.33 anyway so I will need the watercooled pelt for that.

I bet thats why u fried your 1200, theres no way 85 watts is enough to cool it. Especially if your not running the peltier on a 15V power source.

yep 85 watt did nothing for my 1ghz at 1246 ;D
