Well If you must go with an orb, go with a SuperOrb. I don't recommend any orbs though. If you don't care about noise or money, go with a Swiftech 462. If you don't care about noise and want something cheaper, go with a Thermoengine with a delta fan. And lastly if you care about noise and price, go with maybe a Thermaltake Volcano II , GlobalWIN FOP32, or a Thermoengine with the standard fan.
I can tell you were u can get any of these fans just let me know which one you want.

dont buy an orb of any type for a 1.2 you`ll be wasting your money take a look at this site they do a good job of testing

thx for helpingDon't buy an orb, they don't work good enuff for that processor and also, the Super orb won't even fit on that motherboard without modification. Get an Alpha or a WBK or a FOP. They are the best air coolers out there.
Had an orb for my slot A. I don't think much of it. The bases are poorly machined, and their attachment mechanism has been known to crush many socketed chip cores. The cooling is not good either, my Athlon 600 0.18 micron was running at 52.5-60C without an extra case fan. The smaller orbs are quiet, that's all in their favor.

Read my post awhile back. SuperOrb sucks. Don't buy it. Unless you are not scared of chipping your CPU's die. I chipped my 1.2 Ghz 266FSB awhile back and I'm still pissed off. SuperOrb is super hard to get it off once you seated it.
There are other better coolers with better clip than SuperOrb. Besides, SuperOrb rate last or next to last in term of performance. It consistently give you roughly 51-58 C degrees. That's not a good rating by any means in comparison to other coolers where the temp is 35-48 C degrees.
My recommendation? Go with Swiftech MC462A if you can afford it and if your mobo has the 4 mounting holes. If not, go with a ThermoEngine, GW WBK38, Alpha PE66T or Swiftech 370A. These all perform much, much better than the SuperOrb.
Also, I heard that Vantec's new 6420D (can't quite remember the exact name) is also very good with the easier clip mechanism of all the coolers.
Good luck and don't chip your CPU like I did!

Only the newest ORB, the copper ORB is really, really good.
All the others suck big time by modern day standards.

to little to late thermal take`s latest greatest the best fans have a ccw rating at or near .20

Donīt waste your money on buying ORBs of any kind.
Go with Global Win or Alpha instead, they are worth the money
dont ever buy any orb products!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!
Have heard terrible things about orb coolers in general. Never tried one myself. Using the Vantec fce-62540d w/ sunon 60mm fan sitting on top and getting consistent high 30's celsius idle and low 40's celcius under full load. Try it you will like it. Only $20- at coolerguys. :-)

i wouldn't say that. the golden orb was and is quite a good performance-for-your-money cooler for socket 370 intel chips, and the blue orb is a very good little gpu cooler.
