ARE ATHLON 1.2GHZ CHIPS REALLY UNLOCKED

ive been reading here that its true that they stopped locking after 1.2 onwards,if so im getting 1, what is a good mobo 4 it though?

I just recently bought a kt7a and 1200 t-bird. It was unlocked. Highly reccomend the mobo too. :-) It's worked great for me!

The 1.2 I just chipped certainly was unlocked. Just at stock voltage on a bench test, I was able to get it to post at 11.5 multiplier.

Dude, why the low o/c on your system? You have a water cooled peltier? Surely you should be pushing to nearly 1200MHz? My stacked tiger/fop38 (Duron 800) quite happily sits at 1050 running only 36C under full load
