DSL routing question

I'm getting DSL soon and I'm wondering how I would route DSL. Since I'd have to log in through my computer everytime i turn it on. How would I get the router to automatically log in? Or is this possible?

Most of the home routers have an option to set it up to log into your ISP with a user name and password.

In your router's settings, there will be settings for PPPoE. You enter your username and password in there.

For my Linksys router, I followed the procedures for setting up a dsl connection and now i no longer need connect and log on. After signing on dsl and then connecting it to the router once, it logs on byitself everytime i turn on the pc. But i guess it depends on the router you got.
