Whats an optimal CPU running temp? I have a XP2800+ on a ASUS A7N8X.

I'm pretty new to this.

Anything uder 45 idle and 50 load is optimal. Of cource ocne u get those temps u cant OC anymore.

optimal cpu temp is as cool as you can get it. max temp is 75-85ºC. I try to keep mine under 50 degrees.

as low as possible please. i try to stay below 40C personally. 45 idle is way high. i'd shoot for at most mid 30's idle. i like to look at th board temp. my full load temp should no be 10C over my system temp

Also take in mind that some motherboards report the temps higher than they actually are. Be sure to look at other threads about the A7N8X to see if that one does.
