it says it's just like a smaller pro-core, so it should work prety well right?
Also, where would I possible be able to find some aluminum to make a shroud with?
Yeah i saw that, wish they had them a few months ago! Probably wont see a diff, its not that much smaller.
Home Depot will have aluminum flashing in the roofing department.
oh and, howdy from NE Ohio (S. Euclid) :)
Also a heatercore, so it's ok- as long as you realize that smaller size means performance loss compared to the original.
I've bought some alu ("sheet") at the local DYI store. It's rather common for home project use I guess.

Since most heater cores are able to dissipate more than enough heat for the loads that most of us are throwing at them you should be fine.
Why don't you just mod a chevette core if you are that worried about performance?

because chevette cores are a bit too big. It's getting bolted to the top of my case, so I need it to be kinda small to fit.
Sounds like it'll do well, and I'll look for some aluminum sheets or flashing.
Thanks.

I wonder what core that is. However, $35 is pretty reasonable for what it is.

Home depot also sells sheet aluminum and steel pieces in their metal stock area.

raider, it might be a couple weeks before I have the money to buy it. But, I'm planning on buying a roll of film and taking pictures of my whole rig and watercooling along with how it performs.
Expect lots of excitement from sandman once I get it all put together.

Alright, sounds good. I'm still deciding between this and a black ice pro, but I'm leaning towards this one.
