Which is the best one for gaming(BF1942 Desert Combat mod, GTA, and other fps games)? The 9500 pro, the 9600 pro or a 9700np only ATI not saphire or other brands. And if you could link me to the cheapest priced ones that would be a big help to.

Yes, go with the 9700np. But I cannot find it online, all I can find from various retailers are the all in wonder version. Why
dont you like other brands?

That's only because the card can't run the dx9 tests. It's still a decent card. You won't notice too much of a performance difference playing those games unless you get a 9700 or 9800.
I believe that Sapphire used to be a relativly bad brand, but currently they're pretty dang good! That, and 90% of ATI cards you find seem to be made by them, so it will be REALLY hard finding a 'Made by ATI'.

I have just returned my 2nd Powercolour 9700np. Thinking I may have to go to a Tyan (as I don't think we can get Sapphire or genuine ATI in New Zealand)
