View Full Version : What's a Good Stability Tester.....
And One that Doesn't take Hours. I can't go without Using PC for like 12 Hours...I only have 1. Would running more than 1 Tester at once for about an Hour be a Good Stability Tester? And what Should my Temps Max out at? Thank You

Heavy Load is good for a full system check out, as are the various iterations of 3DMark.
You can find links to these and many more, as well as a good read about 'Burn-in', here (http://people.freenet.de/s.urfer/conditioning.htm).
Keeping your reported temps. under 50C is advisable. The cooler the better. 40C is great.
If I ever top a reported 50C, I shut down and add cooling. I've got a thing about cooling.

Yeah I have Burn In, HeavyLoad, and CPU stability Tester. I run all 3 at Once and My Temps go Up to about 51-52, but that is all 3 at once, When I run just one my Temps stay around 40. Right now I'm running at 24. So running just one Program..Like BurnIn One Time is good enough to tell?
I run 3DMARK2K and PRIME95 at the same time for about a half hour, if it makes it through that I usually consider it stable. If it doesn't crash with that I doesn't crash with anything else I do(i've tried LOL). Another way to do it is: if you are going out for a couple of hours, let prime95 or sandra run while you are out, if it's still running when you get back you are probably all good.
