Is it possible that if the rated PCI FSB is set over the understandable limit for the chipset, can you loose packets via the NIC port since it is on a PCI slot??

Current default is 33Mz
Current settings - 37MHz

Athlon XP 2400+ CPU - 2.250 HGz
FSB 300 150x2
core 1.77
Multi x15
RAM only stable using by SPD settings currently at 183.3
DRAM FSB + 33
CAS -2.5
RAS -CAS Delay at 3
RAS Per - 3
Cycle time 7

System stable for last 10+ days at settings. Packet loss and cable modem resets approx. ever 5-6 min.
System on Netgear network using Netgear basic silver 4 port router.

Other PC is using stock settings and all defaults munis a few, that are inherant with XP. (Folding 24/7 for team 32 :D)

ISP states not them. (COX) and all node upgrades have finished.
I can see and check and use all shared files on second PC with no issues.

Thanks for any help here!!!

It's more likely that your NIC itselft cannot handle the high pci speed and gives corrupted/lost packets. It doesn't look like your pci speed is quite high enough to cause problems, but maybe you have a picky NIC. I'd suggest trying a different NIC, somebody else on these forums probably knows one that can handle high pci speeds.

I would also suggest that you may have a port going bad on your router. Try moving to a different port and see what happens. My network has many different $5 USD NICs that seem to work fine. I would hate to think that a name brand NIC would have a hard time with 37 MHZ.

I should check to see what my PCI bus is at. I have two machine with fsb OC and both have the above mentioned generic el chepo's that work fine.
