I am overclocking my 1.2 to 1.4. It locks up some times when I try to increase the voltage at just .05 v it locks up on me immediately am I doing something wrong. Is there a guide to setting your bios setup when you overclock.

1.2 retail chip and fan
ATI 4x AGP
ABIT KT7A-RAID

it's probably a heat problem if you are using a stock hsf. When you up the voltage it creates alot more heat. I would suggest getting a good hsf and some snazzy thermal paste. Especially if you are OCing by 200MHZ+, you are probably chugging out 70+ watts of heat. Go for a GlobalWin FOP38 or WBK. That will probably help.

I have a system cooling fan that blows through the case and keeps the temperature relatively cool as I speak the cpu fan is at 35C. I sometimes think the voltage should be knotched up a bit but when I do it locks up on me. Am I to notch just the core or do I set both of them higher.

you should be able to use voltage settings from 1.65 to 1.85 without any problems as long as you have a top notch hsf and using good thermal paste your i/o voltage should be between 3.4 -3.6 when tinkering with setting`s you should only ajust one thing at a time. some lockups wont ocure for as long as 1hr after changing somthing ;D
