You know the icons at the right on the taskbar? I have it set that they hide over time, until you click on them again. Can you change the time that it takes for them to hide again after you click on them?

Is what I wrote even comprehensible? Sorry.

Sounds like a registry edit will do this. Have you searched google and google groups?

Right click on taskbar, properties, hide inactive icons, CUSTOMIZE :), and you can set certain ones to hide when inactive, always hide, or never hide.

yes macaddict, I know how to get to that menu and thats not what Im looking for
To explain what I want to do:
right now, if you click on an icon, it will be unhidden for a few hours (I think) and then disappear until you click on it again. What I want do do, is adjust the time before it disappears after you click on it. Say, I want it to disappear after 30 min. I dont know of a way to do that.

Yes, shivas, I thought it would be a registry edit of some kind. I searched MS website but nothing came up and I gave up after a few min. Thought maybe someone here knows. I guess Ill search some more.

I just did a quick spin through google groups with variations on the following search words: "hide when inactive registry icons change time" and found a few people asking your same questions. I found a few people chime in saying that it can't be changed. That might be true, or you just need to dig deeper.
