Hey people, Long time no see...

Anyway I've been out of the watercooling loop for a while but now I am back to finish off what I started. Somehow..

I left off with a complete resivour+pump combo and a rad, which I was told was the chevett type that most use but it turned out not to be. The thing is bigger than that.

Anyway, I painted it (some time ago) even used some clear coat on it too, I put some barbs on and got a plastic container to use as a shroud.

I attempted to make a waterblock but it got 2 holes in it and thats pretty much history. I have a pice of aluminum I could use but you guys reccomend giving up before mixxing copper with aluminum.

All I have now are are rad, res w/ intergrated pump and the clamps. I only have like $25 and I dunno what I should do now.
One problem I face mounting this big radiator.

To make a long story short I really don't *need* watercooling, I thought it would be a intresting hobby, I got into it and now I dunno what to do. I'm thinking I might as well sell what I have and just get a new quiet powersupply and sit down. I'm a Junior in highschool with no job so don't think about telling me to save up and put together a $300 system.

Or should I finish this up somehow?

Anyway here are some pics for your enjoyment:

I would recommend finishing it up. Watercooling is well worth it, and doesn't have to be expensive. Check out the classifieds or try out ebay. You should be able to find something as good or better than a maze 2 or 3 pretty cheap, especially if it's a little used.

If you're thrifty, you could probably finish it up for less than $25, $40 if you splurge a bit.

Yeah I totally agree, I bet you could find a decent waterblock to finish off the setup, then all thats left is a few bits and pieces of hardware thats cheap as hell (screws, etc.)

There you go, Swiftech Block for ten bucks. ;)

GO FOR IT, GET PUMPED!

If you read about watercooling and look at nice rigs with H2O you will get into it I bet...

Well I mounted tha rad using 2 long screws and a plastic wanna be shroud. The closest scre looks longer in the pic but they are both the same size.

Anyway, here are some pics. have that res/pump combo I mentioned above but it's kinda big. I'm gonna go work on that waterblock, but what I think I'll end up doing i just putting the unit in there...

Unfortunatley in my planned config the tubing will pass over my PSU Exaust fan and my 2 80mm case exaust fans. Do you think the heat they will expel will effect the cooling effiency of the system?

it will affect the temps, it should at least, but I bet not noticeably.

Hey people, can I get some more input or what?

I don't think the tubes passing will have much of an effect, Possibly the PSU but I don't think it would be much.
