This Antec 550watts TruePower power supply I bought from newegg almost a month ago and it die on me today :( . I have electrical tapes wrap all over the wires so do you think I should take that off before I return it to newegg or should I just leave it there.?

Edit: I'm returning it to get a new one. I bought this PSU in retail price and I threw all the documents and retail box away.

I really doubt that they would make a fuss over the electrical tape, as I doubt that they could argue that it would void the warranty, although you may wish to check their site to see if you can find the agreement. You could always just play it safe and spend a few minutes to take it off before you send it back.

Why not take it off? You want it to look as pristine as possible. I took off electrical tape that I had put on when I returned a Fotron to Directon. What’s so hard?
