Anyone else see the 4.7 GHz 1700+? Is the CPU database reliable at all? What's the highest legit AMD overclock?
The CPU database has many false overclocks. The vr-zone databases (http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/) should be far more legit, as they are manually verified by screenshots. Going by that, the highest AMD overclock 3.6ghz.

The cpu database can give a good general idea but many of the top scores are bogus.
If only people were honest enough to list there overclocks accuratly. The database would be worth so much more, although the majority of people are honest so the database is reliable, but just ignore the bogus entries of 486's hitting 2Ghz (slight exageration) :)

I with it was even possible...
there are more fake results in the overclockers.com database than there are true ones.

hehe notice the #2 3 4 rigs are using at 2700+ auiGb proc.
yes i know they are using ln2 cooling but ihave the same proc about to go into an abit board with water cooling using a silver cascade so im wondering how far i can push it ( especialy since i am kooling the mosfets and SB and raid conroller also)
it also goes along with my theory that all most of the auiGb procs all ended up in japan so we dont see them much in the databases
