Im getting ready to do a "budget" system with an XP1700. Now Im stuck at which MB to go for? would like to keep the price as low as possible without sacrificing any stability. Everything Ive read looks like the AOpen AK79D-1394 is a viable option, but I have yet to see anyone actually say its a good board that uses it. Any opinions out there?

In the low cost/stable/feature rich dept, I recommend Biostar. Check newegg's lineup here.

You can also read the reviews of each of the boards, and the AOpen ones for that matter.

Actually, I worked at a place where the desktops were custom built with AOpen components, and the machines were fine.
