Any tried to mount a 119x119x25 fan on a thermalright's SP-4. Im thinking on a papst 4412FGL or 4412 FGML 26dB/32 dB.

I have look at papst cataloge the al week and when you compare
92x92x25 at the same Pa i will get more air. But of caus a bit will go out side the HS.
 
i think guatam's point is the the 120's have a large motor assembly in the center hub. this makes aiflow over the center of the core almost non existant.
 
Yes, exactly. Should've noted that. The dead spot reduces performance by a considerable amount, far more than can be made up by the fan blowing at the air around the HS.
