Nah, hes right. When I run folding and powerdvd, my powerdvd stutters and freezes. Once I turn folding off, all is well. ONLY IN POWERDVD THIS HAPPENS.
ahhhh maybe that is the difference. I use winfastDVD.
So it's not Folding that causes problems, it's Power DVD!!!!!!!!!!!
/me starts a picket line in front of the software company that makes PDVD.

Yeah, PowerDVD and Folding do NOT mix - my audio got unbearably choppy when I was watching a film :(
Setting the priority of PowerDVD to Realtime helped, though.

i love powerDVD though. how's winfast DVD? i've never tried it.
I've never had a problem with it. It plays everything (DVD,SVCD) and it works well with TVtools for Nvidia. I play SVCD's on my pc and use the TV out to play it on my widescreen TV.
Uhhhh ...
There's some new, innovative hardware to solve this problem ... it's called a "DVD Player" - you hook it up to your TV. ;)

i run the consol version, and watch dvd's on my pc all the time, the only effect i see is that it kills my folding time, like some times it add 30% if not more, while watching the dvd to my total time :(, but i get a nice clean picture and i do not notice any sound issues. but then i dont run it as a service, i run it just normaly, (it is in my start up menu)
