Well guy's I just spent the last 3 hours trying to get the MHZ up ! The best I can get is 1440.I got Win2000 to load at 1475mhz but when you hit restart it shuts down, same with WinME but a little worste. I tried setting from 1.50-1.85 on the core voltage, still the best I can get is 1440 at 1.75v.I have A7V133 board 1.2 T-bird and using the bios to make all the settings. Is there anything else I can try or do you think that is the max I'm going to get?

That's about the best probably. You don't say what cooling you are using but most 1.2's I have seen max out in the low to mid 1400's. Some will make 1500 with good cooling.

What does your cooling situation look like? If you are getting into windows I would think that it is a temp prob. When I first got mine up to 1200, it would crash after about 4-5 hours of Quake 3. I fixed up my cooling a little bit and it gave me those extra couple of degrees to be stable. Have you tried running it with the case open and a house fan blowing at it to see if that helps at all. Worst case scenario: you may need more Vcore, I am not sure if there is a volt mod for your board though, you may want to check out the AMD mobo forum to see. You may also want to try upping the VIO slightly(I have heard that upping it too much can sometimes cause instability, heck, I lowered mine and became more stable LOL) Hope this helps

I have tried every setting in my BIOS on my ABIT KT7A-RAID. I had it a 1400 (10.5x133) for about a week and it would occasionally lock up on me. Then I tried 1450 (10x145) and it is totally stable, took a while to find the right voltage. I have settled at 2.60 I/O and 1.85 core. I think a lot of the voltage settings depends on what PCI cards you are using. Now my system is great. Absolutely, stable. I have my case open and it sets near a window. I crack the window and the temp stays in the high 20's to low 30's CPU temp and the mid 20's for the system temp. I have really tried everything I could to go to and over 1500 but I can not get windows to boot. Anybody have any ideas on how to push it over 1500.

What Skip said is true. I have a 1.2 266 tbird and I'm running 10 x 142 at the moment. Other combinations higher than that seem to result in either failed boot or failure to post. My HSF is sorry but my temps are alright. I have a 80 mm fan blowing across the side of the HSF and that helped alot.

You may not get more than that.... I'm not done trying though. My video card may be a factor. We'll know in a few weeks.

Thanks for the replies,I'm using a FOP38 with 5 case fans, the temps under prime95 run about 44*c at the most Right now its 39*c and I got it to clock at 1454 with 1.79 core voltage and every seems to work fine .Im adding some different case fans today see if I can get the temp down further. Thanks
