Does anyone have pics of their T-Bird unlock job?

I just want to see how i should do it.

Should I use that car crap, and just splash it all over the L1 bridges?

Or use the pencil trick? is there a chance the pencil would brake the bridge?

I don't have a pic of the L1 bridges, but if you look around on hardware sites you will find one. I used the Rear WIndows Defroster Repair Kit for the 2 that I have done. DO NOT just splash the stuff all over the L1 bridges, you use it to re-connect the L1 bridges, not to cover all over them. You will FRY your cpu if you do that, be very carefull that the stuff does not touch any of the other bridges. I used a magnifying glass and a needle to connect them.

Why not just use a pencil? It's simple, easy and...safe?

Because a pencil is a cheap fix. I would NOT recommend using a pencil for long term use. Get a conductive pen.....works great....

Well, I on the other hand, would recommend using a pencil. Just use one with 0.5 mm lead.

Why don't u recommend it for long term use? I mean, if you unlock it and leave your CPU alone, its not like the graphite is just gonna go away :)

I have unlocked over 10 CPU's by using a pencil, and it works great! Plus, if you ever decide you want to lock your CPU again, u can just erase :)

I've got one of each. 650 T-BIRD factory unlocked, 600 DURON with the defroster kit and 600 DURON with the pencil. Haven't had a problem with any.
