I have a AMD Thunderbird 800 CPU and an ASUS A7V. The bios is at version 1007. I tried to unlock the CPU by doing the pencil trick, but to no avail. I am gonna try defroster repair, quite abundant at work (car dealership). Anyway, I don't hav ethe manual to my m/b, left it at a LAN party. Cooling is somewhat a problem, nothing major. I read that everyone has their CPU temp down to like 30 degrees celcius. I have a full tower case, 2 fans installed on the side blowing in, an intake fan at the bottom of the front, power supply exhaust fan, turbine fan in a PCI slot, and just acquired a Thermaltake Chrome Orb. My CPU temp according to ASUS Probe is 50 degrees. Dunno why. I need detailed information from anybody who has o/c'd their T-birds. I am gonna d/l the manual from ASUS website. Mainly I need to know what the jumpers need to be set at. Jumper Free, clock multiplier, etc. PLEASE HELP ME!!
