hi all! i really dont wanna spend more money than i have to on this waterchilling project of mine; so i am asking for your thoughts on bang-for-the-buck. I know i am getting a CPU block, but should i also get a Northbridge block, and/or a block for my 9800? Would I notice enough of an improvement to justify getting the other blocks? i saw that a d00d with a phase-changer on his 9700 got his core to a WHOPPING 535!!! so...heh...

(i have 2x256MB Corsair XMS DDR400 Ultra-low Latency; and i keep it sync to the FSB, so, keep that in mind when suggesting if i should get a NB Block -- as i already am at 200MHz, and idk how much more i can get from my A7N8X Dx without modding it [yeah...i am runnin a rev1.04 with no mods at 200FSB...i am like, the only one who can do that on a 1.04, so...mebe i should get a CPU and VC block?)

I was looking at CoolTechnica - I am fairly sure i want this
CPU BLOCK: http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Dtek-TC4-SA-AL&Category_Code=WB

any recommendations on mobo/VC blocks are appreciated

when i do mine im gonna go for cpu, nb, and video

ive got a 1700+, so im looking at getting highest fsb i can, hopefully around 210-240.
i would say if your watercooling def do the nb. all it will cost you is a block.

i would recommend making your own blocks. do you know how to solder?

my dad, though never in the military, was sent off to California to get some Navy Certification, and one of the things was for soldering, so, i know he can. and he might be able to make blocks for me at work, but, idk how *casually* he can make a block...lol like i've said in other posts, my uncle does all the refrigerant stuff, so, i am good on that side too

well, if youve found a good compressor and know all these people, so far you have like 0$ in your system. so why are you gonna go spend 150$ on waterblocks alone?

make a ghettoblock!

2" copper pipe cap soldered to copper sheet, then 2 fittings soldered to the sides. total cost like 5$!

laters.

I've got an MCW-50 on my 9800np and I'm getting 450 core. That's only 10 MHz more than others are getting with good air. I suspect I can do better with a Vmod, but I don't know if you want to go that far.
