Yo Fiz, how's the wbk38 ???

just wondering how you made out with your new hsf.
That's the one i'm looking to buy and want to know how your temps are doing???

Actually I just got it today and so far it's doing well. My old temp with a stock fan was 53'C under load!!!!! Now its down to 44'C, but I am not using the Arctic Silver yet(didn't have enough $$$$). I expect to have that in a couple of weeks. The only thing I don't care for is how hard the clip is to get on. So far I am very happy with it, I can't wait to get the A.S. so I can try for 1300. I definitely recommend it. The other thing is, it's sooo loud. I can hear it over the other 5 fans in the case and it drowns out most of the sound from my other comp(old Athlon 600). I say go for it.

p.s. how's the OC coming along? I'd like to see how high you got it so far. :)

In terms of performance this heatsink is definitely up there. I combined it with an 80mm 42cfm, 2.6W fan for less noise, and the CPU temps dropped from 44C to 39/40C compared to Alpha PAL6035 with 27CFM YS Tech. It allowed me to go from 1330 to about 1380 at the same temp. Now I am on to a WC system though...

Heh Fiz, my o/c attemps have been put on hold for a while. Had to sink 400$ in my drive way at home so that took the cash for my hsf :(

Anyway, summer time is coming around and i don't spend much time on the p.c. I spend much of my free time on the golf course :)
But as soon as i have extra cash i will get that hsf and make that duron SCREAM 1gig. lol
Did you lap your h/s or put it on as is ?

I was just going to leave it alone, but at the last minute I decided to lap it, so when the A.S. comes I can just slap it on and get going. :) I hear ya on the summer thing, I am always outside working on my car or someting like that(also building a house with my father in law). I am usually on here in the evenings instead. Talk to ya soon.
