OK, heres my hardware:
Abit IC-7 (latest BIOS)
1 gig of Corsair XMS Pc3200
and 2.4C
I can run at 245FSB but once I hit 246-nothing. I also tried these settings:
cpu FSB-250
AGP-66
PCI-33mhz
N/B Strap (by CPU)
DRAM ratio 1:1 and 3:2
AGP Ratio- Fixed
Fixed AGPsomething 66/33
CPU voltage was tried at 1.85 (when attemping 250 fsb, other then that its been at stock)
DDR voltage- 2.6v
AGP voltage-1.55
Somtimes I can even Post with those settings!
ALSO, I ran torture test at my stock settings other then 245FSB and I get an error after the 2nd test!!
I can run sandra burn in wizzard all day and be fine with temps, which are never over 45 under full load with sandra.
Please help! Thanks.
I'm getting my new intel setup next week (practicly the same setup) so I might not have any deffident answers for you, But you may want to try some really relaxed timings on your ram and up your vDIMM voltage to 2.8. Also this may or may not help but I got this from the abit forums about getting higher FSB.
"Well I might have fixed my problem.. Read on another forum that you should disable the last two memory settings in the game accelerator menu, ie Read Delay Adjust and Command Per Clock.. Before I did this, I could not get any higher than 260 FSB stable using 2XCorsair 512MB PC3500C2.. Once I changed the two settings to disable, default is auto, I can now run at 283 FSB prime95 and 3DMark2001SE stable.. So if you're having issues like I was, give it a shot.. "

thanks bro, ill look into it.
It is because you dont have an Asus mobo!
Seriously, back down the voltage. Extreme overclockers on prommies rarely go past 1.8v, it is too extreme for air, water, or pelts.

Yea, I got the FSB to 245 still, my voltage at 1.575 or something very close to it.
AGP voltage is 2.8
relaxed the timings a bit.
I dont know what else there is to do.
I seriously think Im stuck at 2.94...
Well the ram you have is DESIGNED to run at 200fsb so I don't think it's doing too bad for to hit 245. You need faster RAM is all. PC3700 or 4000 to hit the really high FSB. Hope it works for ya :D
Can't he put it on a 5:4 cpu:ram divider? Or does that board not support it? 3:2 I doubt would be worth it.

If u are running 1:1 than that 245fsb is excellent bar none coming from a memory chip that's only rated for DDR400. But if u have tried the 3:2 divider and it still doesnt work than I would be a little concerned. Just like Atari said, try disabling Read delay adjust and command per clock. Your cpu voltage should never need more the 1.6v. Relax your timings on your memory. Hoping for more than DDR400 may require looser timings. This is an Intel cpu so crank the memory mhz and loosen the timings. How is your cooling anyways? What are your temps? U didnt buy a generic PSU did u? I had a generic 420w psu and it was horrible. After awhile I couldnt get my videocard running without artifacts so I removed my DVD-Burner and DVD-Rom and it worked fine. Since than I have gotten an Antec True 550w PSU and I don't get random shutdowns and/or artifacts. I never thought a *good* PSU was all that important until I learned it the hard way. BTW 2 of my 5 HD's got corrupted do to my PSU. Took me all weekend to repair and recover all my lost files.

Im running 245FSB with 3:2, my temps are fine. Im running a Zalman CNPS7000-cu. Temps done exceed 45-48 under FULL load running 3dmark for 6 hrs.
As for my PSU, Antec 550.
So I whats a save bet for the mem timings?
I know I disabled 2 things in the BIOS... cant remember what.
I dont see why I cant get this past 250.
