I know a bunch of people have already posted asking about video codecs, but I couldnt find my answer anywhere here. I have downloaded many different codecs and have only found a few that work. I am currently using the Nimo codec pack (the one i have had the most success with) but still have one problem. I can watch the movies fine on my computer (either using divx, windows media player, or BS player) but when i hook the video card up to my TV through the s-video, I get everything to show up fine except for the video. Everything else on my monitor i see on teh TV screen, but where the video is playing on my computer, I just get a black box on teh TV. Does anyknow know what program or what codecs could help me watch movies normally through the TV? Also, whenever I watch a video through windows media player (the most current version) and I try to go full screen, it goes to it for a second, doesnt expand the video any, and then pops back to the normal view. I would really really like help figuring this out.

I had that exact same problem of the video only showing up on the computer and just a black box showing on the tv. With my laptop I just closed the screen and it showed up on the tv. With a normal computer try shutting the monitor off or switching to make the tv the only display. Hope that helps.

I have a mobile radeon 7500 in my laptop, so maybe its just with some video cards. Its worth a try, danomite664. Good Luck!!

ok, i got it to show the video out like i wanted to. I was retarded and just forgot to hit the button to display the primary device on the tv, and it was showing the secondary (which is still the 9700 I have, if anyone else has radeon's like this, you know what i mean) but i still have a couple problems. First of all, I used to be able to play a video using either divx player or windows media player and it would just automatically go full screen on the TV and i could still do other stuff as long as the file was open. Does anyone know how i could do this, because it doesnt work now. I have to go fullscreen in the player and then i cant use my computer for anything else. Also, when i try to go fullscreen in windows media player, it still messes up like i described previously. thanks everyone for all your help though
