Just found this site that has some kinda Tape traces for unlocking the L1 bridges. Looks to me like it might work out pretty well

Looks like it would work but you have to wonder if the tape looses some of its stickum when you crank that baby up and get some heat going. Not to mention the cost for what you get.

yeah it is little expensive..And curious to if the tape will stay sticking and for how long. I think im going to try it and see how it works..

little expensive? Gosh... realistically, it is almost the price of a $40 600mhz duron. Do some freebee pencil trick and save money to get another 600 Duron then push it up to 1G range and be happy with your well spending :-) :-) :-)

these things have been around a while.. people have tried them, but imho it would be better and cheaper to go with the conductive pen. even if you have to order one it'd be cheaper than those stickers.

I use a conductive pen. I've had one for years. Although the 'L(x)' bridges on Socket-A processors are some of the most precise work that I have ever attempted.

I don't know about the longevity of the connection made with the trace tape, but an 'ink job' appears to be permanent.

Plycon is also selling some absurdly priced fan adapters...I'm sure that someone will buy those.
