I just received a new AMD 1.13 ==== AVIA
Can anyone Identify it? vs AXIA?
I hear they are nearly as good as AXIA, and a few people actually say they are better.
Aaron
better than AXIA CPU if you are lucky! That is all about Ocing, in addition to sweet and tear :-) :-) :-)

Thanks for the response. Both of you say ... and possible "better".
Could you have more specific, how, in which situation, and where are your getting this information .... can you point me to more details?
Its all in the luck of the draw, your CPU might be a great overclocker, it might not be. If you want to see what other people are getting with your CPU code, do a search for it in the CPU Database at www.overclockers.com

Actually according to the perceived AMD encoding rules, AVIA is one stepping before AXIA. I have an AVHA, which is one or to steppings back from that again - got it to 1370 with air though.
The next stepping is expected to be AZIA or possibly BXIA.
Yo
Here is an odd fact about the AVIA stepping. Apparently they are or were still manufacturing AVIAs at the same time as AXIAs. I just received a 1g AVIA that was from week 11, whereas my 1.33g AXIA was week 09. The AVIA I got also has the multipliers locked.

Ya .... my problem as well.
My AVIA is week 11. But it currently stable and running benchmarks @ 1360Ghz, so I'm not complaining. I'll burn it in for several more days, then really try to see what it will do.
I need a better video (TNTM64-32Mb dont laugh)
I need a DDR mobo (currently KK266, moving to KA266R w/256DDR Crucial)
