All right guys, here's a challenge for you. I went to install a peltier on my computer and I think I squished the chip. I threw in my post card in my computer and it spit back a code of 00(zero,zero). I have an Asus motherboard with the kt66a chipset, an athlon 1.1 ghz tbird, and a stick of DDR kingston 128 meg stick of ram, with an Award bios. That should be all the information you need. I have not found this 00 post code anywhere documented and have checked both ASUS and Awards website with no documentation on this post code. And I know the post card works because I have used it on multiple systems since and it has been a time saver fixing many systems.
This guy Here (http://www.postcodemaster.com) Normally has all the post codes, but I don't see yours. I even checked my Computer Fundamentals book from A+ class and even though it has every BIOS in it, it didnt have this error.
Are you sure that it was 00 and not 0D? Award Post codes are in HEX and maybe you might have read it wrong. Do you get any Post beeps at all? We also need to know what the mainboard is that you have. Unfortunately there are many versions of the Award BIOS, and they are supported not by one company, but by the motherboard maker. I found this Quito at the Award Web Site
QUOTE:
"Award Software software products are sold to a board or system manufacturer ("hardware vendor"), who customizes them further before selling the system. Award Software cannot supply upgrades for a BIOS that has been subsequently modified by hardware vendors."
END QUOTE:
So if you could give us abit more info we might beable to help ya out ;)

That is a good point, it might have been 0D. It's being read from a little lcd display from something like a calculator so it might be 0D. Its hard to compare the two sitting right next to each other on that kind of display. As for the Beep codes I did not get any, either from the PC speaker or the post card. As for the bios version I have to check into that. Its hard to at the moment vecause I cant boot the motherboard up to check. If I remember right it's the newest one listed at Awards website and Asus just points me to there POST codes. Any other suggestions would help. Thanks man!!
Hrmmmm well if you can't seem to get your BIOS info you could use
THIS (http://bioscentral.com/downloads/bios/bios1351.zip) to get your BIOS info. It's from bioscentral.com, a very good site to help with BIOS problems. Once we get your BIOS version we can help more, but I really think that your BIOS is a mess with that error. If it's not 0D and 00 like you said I have no Idea because I have never in all the years in computers seen a 00 error code....
