As i was "attempting" to unclock my bird with that durned stuff, i finally got it to work for one reason. I used an ice pick as my tool(no saftey pins where i was). Let the stuff set out on a plastic bag for a few minutes untill is sets up some. Then, cross them. The stuff does not go everywhere, just sticks, and draws just like a crayon, it was picture perfect cross(sorry, don't have any pics). Just a little tip as this seems to the most popular way to unclock them since pens are difficult to find, and pencil tends not to stay.
