Just got an AMD ATHLON 1.2 200mhz and wondered if anyone out there knows what sort of release chip i have and if it is any good for oc@1.5?

Heres the details...

A1200AMS3B
BXIA 0112CPCW
Y6170640284

Does anyone know if this chip is locked and if so how do i unlock it?

Also what is this "BXIA" all about? I though it was "AXIA" and that they were good for oc. What does the "B" in XIA mean then?
I know the "B" at the end of the first line of numbers means the bus speed, 200mhz just like the "A"s and 266mhz for the "C"s on the first line at the end. Any ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to read, hopefully you will clear my mind on this issue as i am getting confused with all the different releases out...

Thanks and all the best
DJ WATTS.

It is generally thought that anything AXIA and later will be good for overclocking. You have the first BXIA I have ever heard about. The BXIA is a later stepping revision and so "should" be a good clocker. I, as well as many here, would be very interested in knowing how far you can get that chip to go. BTW, when and where did you get that chip?
