Well if i remember right the base of the heatsink is about the same size as the fan that goes on it right? meaning it would be about 80*80. So see if you can fit a regular 80*80 fan around your socket. If you can then it will work, if you can't then it won't work.

Well i just RMA'd a MSI neo2 MOBO due to not being able to overclock on it and i already have the MCX4000..it was tight fit on the msi,and wanted to know if it will fit on the p4p800 im about to order.

Dont know about the p4p400 but I have a p4c400 with the mcx4000 and it fits fine.

on the P4P it's a very close fit, the CPU fan header is right on the end touching the heatsink.

I solved this by shaving off a corner of my fan.
no big deal, cause the combination is just amazing.
