abit nf7-s v2.0 2*ddr 400 twinmoss ram.c627627 in turkey all of bartons are not good.some bartons stuck at 2200 mhz.I search hit can 2400 2500 mhz barton.
Hm... 2.2 GHz maybe because there's not enough vcore voltage.
Average is 2.3. Anything more is luck + you have good ram but what about cooling and power supply brand? That also maybe why some hit 2.2 and not more.
my hsf is volcano 11,psu 300 watt aopen fsp.case aopen h600b.some bartons cant reach 2300 mhz at 2.2v in turkey.whats most important things on cpu stepping.example:whats ''Y'' on step.
VPMW meaning is
- The first letter is inconclusive.
- All Athlon XP's have a P as their second letter. - Those with lower third letters consistently do better than those with higher ones, this is considered to indicate wafer integrity.
- Every AMD ever ends in a W.
You have nothing to worry about as far as the CPU is concerned.
Thermaltake Volcano 11 is adequate but Thermalright will usually help you get more out of a CPU. 300W aopen is on the lower side of adequate.
i dont buy the lower letter thing... i have a TPBW 0328 AQXEA barton that needs 1.85v to do 2200mhz... cooling is slk800a w/ as 3 and 50cfm and temps are like 48C at 1.85v... it wont pass prime at anything lower
Its all luck of the draw. However, it is interesting for a TPBW to do that low. Its something about the AQXEA's that I can't quite put my finger on. Some AQXCA with seemingly worse steppings do a lot better.
