I have 3 copies of WinXP and am building a system for my Sister and want to give her a copy. I will be installing Win2K overtop of one of my XP hard drives. The question is which copy of XP is on which system. During install you have to enter the 25 digit code and I have the codes marked on the install CDs but don't know which copy I put on which Hard Drive. Does anyone know how to find that original code on the hard drive?
Thanks.

Thank you it works great!
since you have 3 licenses, it would most likely work (and be legal) to just use the same cd-key code for both
just guess which one isnt in use
and if it is, its not big deal(ive never had a problem with it)

this is true also. Any valid XP key should work with any copy of Windows XP. And like, figi said, you already have the licences, so if you use the same key on two computers, you arent doing anything illegal.
