I'd suggest a Sapphire 9800 np for $237. There's a very high likelihood that your processor won't need an upgrade.

9800np would be good, just flash it to pro and oc. also between 1800+ and 2400+ you probably won't see a huge improvement and it may be a waste of money.

if you want to upgrade the CPU, get an athlon xp 2500 barton

i'll take the old one off your hands though. :-).

I agree...the 9800np really looks good, and the fact that it can be flashed to pro is cool. as for the proc, id stick with what you got (unless its a palimino), water or phase-change cool it, and clock the living pants off it. I've seen some pretty cool clocks coming off some weak looking chips, and the DLTC3, JIGUB, and JIUHB all seem to clock very well, even on air.

BTW, what do you plan on doing with the 4200 after you're done?
If you want, i could find a use for it in my son's 'puter (he's got my old MX 420, which is clocked to 325/650, but only gets about 5000 3dmarks in 2001se)
