View Full Version : "THE MATRIX" FOR CPU BURN IN?
Meaning the "screen saver"? It seems to give my cpu a good workout.
try converting the DVD to MPEG-4 useing Flask. That'll put a huge load on your cpu. Under normal mode it uses 80% of cpu resources leaveing the rest for the OS, Via Hardware monitor (so you can watch your temps soar to new hights), with enough left over to surf this board.
Flask has definetly put a lot moree of a load on my cpu than prime 95 ever could have.

windows pinball put such a load on my cpu, it was crazy. Made the temp rise from 40C to 70C. That burned in my cpu good and hard!

Notepad puts a HUGE load on my chip... I can't use it. Temps go from that 55 to 75 and more, if I let it run for than 5 minutes. What's up with that? :D :D :D

Try playing direct 3d games whilst using winamp at the same time to listen to your favourite tunes. Quality!

You should tax as much of the physical structures of your CPU as possible in order to do a complete job of burning-in. Hit as many of those PMOS and NMOS registers as possible. A little theory and the practice of burning in can be found here: http://people.freenet.de/s.urfer/conditioning.htm
Whilst watching your temperatures, raise your Vcore and lower your multiplier as much as possible. For best results, your reported temperatures should never exceed 45C.
