Hi folks,

Well, just updated to a XP3000 from a XP2400. I can't make out too much in speed but I am a novice when it comes to that.

My problem, well concern is that when I run SIsoft Sandra, I get a very high temperature reading of 87'c for the Power Aux Temp. What is this?

How can I reduce it? And what does it actualy mean. The CPU temp is stable at 46'c idle, yet to test it on a 100% load.

Any help much appreciated.

Regards.

Welcome to the Forums!

I wouldn't worry too much about the AUX reading - Board, CPU Socket and CPU Die are all that need to be worried about. There are also several hardware monitoring programs out there that are better than Sandra - Motherboard Monitor 5 is my choice.

If something was really at 87C I don't expect you to be able to even boot, so the value must be a bit wrong or glitchy.
