Can you use a mobliel XP in a desktop? If so will it give off less heat? For example, would a mobile XP2000+ give off less heat than a regular XP2000+.

Yes, you can use a mobile chip in a desktop, and since it uses less core voltage, then it will most likely produce less heat.
