maybe you guys could help me out. I need to find some 1/2 OD Tygon tubing. I am upgrading my rad and its fittings are 1/2 ID but everything else I have is 1/2 OD...so I figure I can force the 1/2 OD tubing over the Rad fittings and everthing else will fit (swiftech quick fit) good. but.......I can't find anyone that seels 1/2 OD anything! clear Tygon preffered but I will settle for clear vinyl. I tried dangerden, Directron, CrazyPC....? maybe you guys know where I can get it?

you must be talking about ID, not OD, because that's what tubing is measured by. dangerden has some 1/2" ID tygon and clearflex60 which, AFAIK, is just about the same

after reading your post more clearly, the 3/8" stuff will fit over 1/2" fittings. try that

Well you're probably right but Swiftech calls it 1/2 OD. But I did finally find some 1/2 OD here at frozencpu.com (http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/scan/se=Water%20Cooling/se=Tubing%20and%20Fittings/mp=menu_search.html) for $3 a foot. Dang man that is steep! Now that i understand 1/2 OD is really 3/8 ID....I guess the 1/2 OD thing is a marketting scheme to make thier product look bigger to those who don't know.

www.usplastics.com

Type r-3603 into the search box. You can find tygon tubing of almost any dimensions imagineable, from 1/32" inner diameter 1/32" wall to 1" inner diameter, 1/2" wall.

WAIT! you dont want to use tygon with swiftech blocks! they require a special tubing for those fittings from what I remember, check swiftech for more information.

Yep, you're right. They have little "quick fit" inserts that fit inside the tube and the outer diameter of the tube has to fit perfectly inside of the waterblock casing/holes. I already looked at the above mentioned tygon tubing and it is either to large or to small. It is'nt the regular clamp down & you're good scenerio. Thanks for you're help...I have ordered the correct tubing from Swiftech. I just thought (wrongly) I might be able to use some of that sweet looking Tygon.

...or you could cut some 1 1/2" long pieces of 1/2"OD copper tubing and use the tygon as you wish. Just use the copper as a tubing end that plugs right into the Swifty stuff.

Copper's purty too...

New gen doesn't do me much good seeing that I already have all of my components.
