View Full Version : Won't Post At 146MHZ
Have a 1.2 AXIA 266 FSB on a ASUS A7V133 mobo. Watercooled running idle at 32C. Apacer 256mb ram cls3 pc133. Default voltage setting. Runs stable at 10x145, can not even get a post when at 146, tried raising voltage from 1.75 to 1.8 no luck. Could this be the memory chip, it was cheap, maybe too cheap. Any suggeations would be appreciated.
it's almost undoubtedly the memory. imho, you're lucky to have gotten so high in the first place with apacer! i've had very bad experiences with apacer ram... most i've played with wouldn't even go to 140mhz!
My Asus A7V133 does the same thing, it's fine at 145 and no go at 146. I have tested my memory(muskin rev3) and all cards to 160fsb 1/4 divider so it's not that. I believe it is the chipset. If I raise the I/O voltage it will go a little higher. You may want to give this a shot.
