If I overclock to 8x133 on a Duron 800 and am running 100% stable, but get errors in Prime 95, does that mean the overclock failed?

Stable doesn't mean error-free. I can get quite stable at 1144, but pifast fails quite miserably. Back off the FSB bit by bit, see when it get error-free. Then you should try that multiplier. I do my oc'ing that way, as I consider FSB-oc'ing a bigger feat than just changing the multi. A reminescent from my Intel days...

I lowered my computer to 7.5x133=1000 and it runs with no Prime 95 errors. It works ok for my purposes (video editing, games) but it feels right on the edge of too slow. I'll try going higher once I get it burned in at this speed.

I kind of have a feeling many people run their computers much higher than they actually will go error free. If it fails P95 it's not 100% stable and you've gone too far. Back it off a bit and you'll be fine.

Nagorak is most likely correct on this one. I'd like know if all the AXIA's really run that high... Although, here in Finland, one chap has gotten over 2g with LN2 and pifast runs error free. Check the results at http://www.muropaketti.com/pifast/
It's in finnish, but you can grasp the most meaningful things, even if you don't understand finnish (like I do, wonder why? Maybe I'm special :)).
