ok like onboard sound does the onboard lan heat up the south bridge to or does the onboard lan have nothing to do with the south bridge
 
OK I KNOW WITH SOME BOARDS IF U GET CRACKILING WITH YOUR ONBOARD SOUND. It COULD BE FROM The south bridge HEATING UP. SO SINCE THE LAN IS INTERGRATED INTO MY SOUTH BRIDGE and i use a crap load of bAndwith. Could that heatup my southbridge causing the crackiling noise with my soundl.
 
When your computer is on and you hear the crackling, reach into your case and feel the southbridge. If it is hot to the touch, then it would be a good idea to slap a heatsink on there.
