Anyone has experience with this unit? I just saw this in Iocombo:
Toshiba Pocket PC 2032 with no activation required (http://iocombo.com/product/showproduct.php?productid=TOSHIBA2032)

It says no activation is required ... what does that mean exactly? I saw in pricegrabber that there is 2 models of Toshiba 2032, one is with Sprint Activation being as a required element and the other is without any description.

My question is: for the unit that does not need to be activated, what does it do? can I go with different provider instead of Sprint if I buy one of those?

My guess would be that you can use the PDA as a PDA without activating it as a phone from sprint. Also it comes "Unlocked", meaning you pop in a SIM card, and done.

"Area of Use You can use this Sprint PCS Phone anywhere in the Sprint PCS Network and on other selected PCS, CDMA networks.

If I were you I would email them first, and confirm this. BTW, I had an Ipaq back in the day, with the same 206 Mghz StrongArm proc; if you are buying this unit to browse the web, go to a store like BestBuy first, and try it there. Pages take eons to load, even if the data is stored on the PDA.
