It has to be under $6 each with reasonable shipping and it has to support up to Athlon 2800+ ... it doesn't have to be very quiet but 33dbA is as high as it can go

any recommendation????

That rules out watercooling
how about a Martha Stewart (or rubbermaid) bin and a gallon of mineral oil??? I cooled a PC that way one time... not the prettiest thing in the world... but it's QUIET...

Try and find a used stock AMD hsf for your proc, should be able to get it for $6, maybe......

That may well be difficult to do for 6 dollars you may want to ask around some local computer stores and ask if they have retail pulls of the stock heatsink from som AMD processors, if you cant find that you may want to consider some cheap generic heatsink which you can buy in the store, that way you dont have to pay shipping.

I have one of these on my XP2100+ overclocked to 1.9 GHz and it works just fine. Quiet and efficient for an aluminum heatsink.

Well you can get this Coolermaster for 9.99 @ Fry's http://www.directron.com/hacv81.html For the money you can't beat em with a bat......Adjustable 80m/m fan and about as cheap as you can get...Shoot it cost 6 bones for a decent 80m/m fan...
