View Full Version : LEDbus?
Can i use a fanbus to power an LED?
It depends on the voltage the LED takes, most take around 2 volts. Normally a rheobus takes 12 volts and has an output of 12-7 volts to supply a fan with, this is way to high for an led it will cook the semiconductor inside. You may be able to add an inline resistor and take the voltage down, but it may not be worth the effort, led's because they are a semiconductor based device are really not supposed to be dimmed they may dim but not with a constant curve like a light bulb. Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.
