Hi:
This is the first time I assemble a computer and I wanted to know if it is compatible the use of Thermaltake COPPER SHIM and the Thermalright SLK-900U. In other words, can I leave the shim to protect the CPU and install the SLK-900U over it or do I have to remove the shim in order to be able to install the SLK-900U.
Any comments will be sincerely appreciated.

you should not have to remove it, but just see if the heatsink touches the core
