hey...how can i go higher? forget about the temps, :) ...i tried setting fsb to like 103-104, it posts but windows wont boot, says some sort of corrupt file..
Does the voltage mod work on the Asus mb? I've got a Duron 650 that's at 1080 now, but my FSB can't go higher than 106 without going tits up. Damn, I wish I had waited for the kt7a, which came out 1 week after I got my kt7. I was new to building comps however, so didn't know too much.
There is a voltage mod for the A7V, I don't remember where you can find it at the moment.
I also have an A7V (as well as an A7V133). The 106MHz FSB sounds about normal, the A7V as well as all of the first generation socket "A" motherboards with the KT133 chipset, suffer from the same problem of not being to get much over 110MHz FSB. To remedy this you will have to go to a newer board with the later KT133A chipset, or the AMD 761 chipset and go with DDR RAM.
you can do the voltage mod to the a7v.. i've done it successfully, but don't actually use it.. check out tomshardware for a good article with good pics.
