I have a 1ghz t-bird that i'm running without thermal paste tomorrow i'm gonna run by and pick some up but when i put it on the chip how much do i put on???Also what about the bridges and those resistor crap or whatever.. can i get the thermal paste over those or will that short it???

Call around and get Artic Silver, its the best.
As far as how much, put a thin layer and smooth it out w/ a driver license or credit card.(magnetic strip away for heatsink and paste)
if you use regular silicone use as much as you want (non conductive) AS2 is conductive and should only be applyed to the die (little square in the middle of the chip
i know this chip says duron but it is the same ;D
