View Full Version : Back from RMA 1.33
Welp, I got my chip back from Atacom.com... Took them a week to get me a new one... Guess what, this one worked :). Using AsusProbe, my Temps are at 47C under load with a Global Win WBK38 & AS2. I'm just running it at 1.33. I need to know what the burn in procedures are... I read the post down there.. But what should I rase the Vcore voltage to? And can that be done from within Bios? Thanks.

mess around with your system and find your highest stable speed.. this should take some time a day or two ... once there then pick a program that runs your processor a 100% seti,folding@home, prime95,rc5 and run it for a day then try the next higher speed ;D
What was wrong with your chip to make you RMA? I am also forced to RMA my 1.33GHz chip and was wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me.... :)

I hear burn in's are an ancient myth and do nothing. Not sure if its true but thats what I hear.
People seem to relate this to warming up before an athletic event. However these are electronics not biological beings. Do you warm up a gameboy before playing games? Do you warm up your cell phone before talking? Or lights before turning on?

Well, I'm not really trying to debunk you because I think burn in is mostly voodoo that really doesnt do much, but all high end audio equipment does sound better after being burned in, most high end speakers and amps require 100 hours of use before they sound optimum, but as i say i doubt burning in a cpu really does that much for you...just thought id point out an example of something that you DO burn in, lol
