Just thought would throw in some comments about my experience trying to o/c a duoron 800 on a new Abit KT7a. In short would not play the game. All I could get was 876 at 8.5X 101fsb.
I unlocked the links bout 20 times with different methods. Into the bios set all to user define, the only time it would boot up was at the above or at 10X 100fsb at 1.85v, then it would play Mech Warrior 4 for 10mins at 41c then freeze.
At all other settings working a little at a time it would only get to verifying data then just hang.
I have been thru it and thru but seem to have run out of ideas, so have left it starting to fear I will end up busting the chip.
Looks like I will try another chip another time.
I have read every article I could find set it up as per recommendatios with HSF paste etc.
It was for my gaming mad son who has taken it back to Boarding school with him so cannot get to it now for a couple of months. Ah! well he is happy but I am not. Any ideas?

Boy that sure sounds like you got a KT7, not a KT7A. What is the wattage of your PSU? A good test of the mobo is to pull all add-on cards except the video. Likewise, pull all HDDs except the one you boot off of. See if you can OC that FSB further. If so, then the cpu is not at fault. What speed is your memory? PC100, PC133, CL2, CL3? Have you tried a more conservative memory setting? Lastly, to test the FSB range, drop the cpu speed down to 600. Now try upping the FSB at the same voltage setting. Does the FSB work at a higher setting then?
