I put the compound rite over my purople chip in middle of my AMD 1.2 266fsb AXIA chip did i do it correct it looks like the other compound wore off do i put artic 2 silver
Yes,use Artic Silver if you have it .Spread a thin layer over the chip using a razor blade.Make sure to cover the entire surface of the chip.

woops i put a big thing of it on lol and its @ 38c not underload 100 f but every time the damn compoud wares off i duno why its annoying

ummm, it shouldn't "wear off". You only need a very thin layer on your CPU, you hardly have to have any at all. So if you look at it and most of it has been pressed off the core, that just means there wasn't enough space for it, and it wasn't needed.

Right in all probability most the compound stayed on the heatsink where most the the voids probably are. The Tbirds and Durons tend to be very smooth already.
Use care in your terminology. Chip and CPU imply the entire chip or CPU. Core implies the part where the compound belongs. That is, unless you are using a shim. Then it is probably appropriate to have some wherever it contacts the chip or CPU. Some people reading this stuff can't differentiate the difference yet.
